Since the beliefs that parents want to instill in their children can vary greatly, we ask that instead of adding your personal opinions about what is right or wrong in a film, that you instead use this feature to help parents make informed viewing decisions by describing the facts of relevant scenes in the title for each one of the different categories: Sex and Nudity, Violence and Gore, Profanity, Alcohol/Drugs/Smoking, and Frightening/Intense Scenes.

Sex & Nudity

Abbey and her husband kiss are shown kissing in a flashback after she tells the interviewer that she and her husband "made love". They are both fully clothed, but lying in bed. You see their clothed upper torso's as they kiss for few seconds.

Violence & Gore

A man is stabbed while in bed. A bit of blood is shown but the scene is very brief.

Patients have violent reactions to hypnotism. One jumps off the couch, smashing a lamp. Another one has a terribly violent reaction that is very shocking but not violent and very obscured by camera malfunctions.

A man shoots his wife and children and then shoots himself. The scene is very unsettling but all the violence is covered by blurry boxes.

We see a person on a couch thrash and convulse wildly about as their body contorts in an extremely disturbing and unnatural manner. This happens a few times in the film.

Profanity

God's name is taken in vain numerous times. There are two uses of "bullsh^t" and a few milder profanities such as h*ll and g*dda*n. VERY mild for a modern PG-13.

None

This movie is very, very unsettling. The entire film is meant to trick your mind into believing that it is an actual documentary and will frighten viewers. The hypnosism scenes are very shocking and the ending is very, very intense. The experience might be less shocking at home, while watching it on DVD because of the lack of sound. The majority of "scary" scenes have very loud sound effects to make you jump.

Many startling/surprising scenes with intense loud noises.

A recording is played where a terrified woman screams and a man with a frightening voice speaks in an unknown language. This may be one of the most frightening scenes in the movie
