Wait a Second, Jason Has Two Mothers?
7 January 2009 11:18 PM, PST
While browsing around on the IMDb page of Warner Bros. upcoming remake of Friday The 13th I noticed something intriguing. On the site they credit Nana Visitor as the actress who plays Pamela Voorhees (Jason's mother who is beheaded in the original) and Kathleen Garrett as "Jason's Mother". We made a few phone calls and learned that there are in fact two people playing Pamela Voorhees, and here's how. Visitor - who was the first cast - stars in the actual film at Ms. Voorhees, while Garrett shared her voice as Jason's anger-filled mama in the full trailer that's been online the past few months. Hope that clears the air. You can see Visitor in action when Friday hits theaters February 13th, 2009.

Fincher Touches on Se7en Sequel 'Ei8ht'
7 January 2009 9:29 AM, PST
What about a sequel to SE7EN, David Fincher? "I would be less interested in that than I would in having cigarettes put out in my eyes," the director confided to an inquisitive fan at the Film Society of Lincoln Center's "Curious Case of Benjamin Button" talkback. "I keep trying to get out from under my own shadow," he adds later in the chat. "I don't want to do the same shit over and over." Not even for, say, EI8HT." While Fincher says he doesn't want to be involved in a sequel to the Brad Pitt horror-thriller, it doesn't mean a studio won't go forth with one without him.

Tom Cruise Chimes in on 'Cabin in the Woods'
7 January 2009 9:14 AM, PST
Say what you will about that looney toon Tom Cruise, but I'm a fan. And hearing that Cruise sat down and chatted with Joss Whedon about his forthcoming horror film, The Cabin In THe Woods, has got me excited beyond belief. If the fact that Whdeon is already collaborating with Cloverfield director Drew Goddard wasn't cool enough, this has escalated the film to new heights. Whedon, who wrote the upcoming horror movie Cabin In The Woods with former Buffy writer Drew Goddard, met with Cruise as head of United Artists now that UA has taken over the MGM film as part of UA's takeover of the lion studio, reports Sci Fi Wire.
